♥ SuperHeroZ - Chapter 4 (The Parks' Family)

“Master…”

“What?”

“I…I was wondered. Why do I have to wear these…clothes instead of mine?” Jaejoong looked at his clothes while following Yunho from behind. He’s wearing a long sleeves white shirt, a black jeans and a pair of slippers. His thin body had made the clothes looks a bit bigger in size.

Yunho had forced Jaejoong to wear his clothes before leaving the house. Since he knows that Jaejoong would follow him around, he needs to make sure that the guy looks normal rather than weird in people’s eyes.

“You look weird with that outfit. Besides, you’re in the human world now. Any changes in clothing and conversation are necessary. So, get used to it.” Yunho walked in fast pace after glancing at his watch. “Oh! And by the way, call me Yunho.”

“Yunho?” Jaejoong questioned.

“Yes, Yunho,” Yunho repeated.

“Why do you want me to call you Yunho, master?”

“Because ‘master’ are too formal for a nick name and I’m more comfortable with you calling me by my name. Got it? Now, we’re here.”

Both of them stopped in front of a busy restaurant. Jaejoong looked up to see a big signboard namely ‘PARK SHINE’. He wondered why a place like this has a big name hanging on the wall like that. Yunho didn’t notice Jaejoong confusing expressions as he barged in to the restaurant and headed to the counter. Jaejoong quickly followed the man from behind and watched him carefully, not wanted the same situation happen to him like before.

“Hey, Yunho! Where have you been?? Do you know what time it is now??” A guy who stood in front of the counter asked him.

“Sorry, Lee Teuk-hyung. My stupid brother didn’t wake me up this morning when he knows that I’m late again for my job,” Yunho blamed his brother for the reason. He took out the card that was placed in a rack cards hanging on the wall aside of the counters and slide it into the machine. He grabbed an apron and a notepad with a pen on it after he put the card back into place.

Lee Teuk shook his head,“Tsk…Tsk…Tsk…Yunho, Yunho. You always blamed your brother for it. Now, get the customer’s order over there immediately,” he pointing at the place as Yunho quickly ran to the table.

Then, Lee Teuk noticed Jaejoong presence at Yunho’s back and tried to greet him, but he failed to do so since the guy turned quickly to follow Yunho.
Jaejoong started to follow Yunho around as he was busy taking the customer’s order at the other table and cleaned at some tables after the customers leave the restaurant. He started to get annoyed at the guy who was sticking with him like a leech.

“Jaejoong, you shouldn’t follow me around for now. I’m busy here! Go, sit there near the counter,” Yunho pointed at the stool in front of the counter. Jaejoong didn’t defy it and followed his master’s order. He sat down on a stool near the counter and watched Yunho cleaned up some tables and taking other customer’s order. He wondered why his master had to go around like that and take orders from tables to tables.

“Hye, there! I’m Lee Teuk! What’s your name?” the guy at the counter greets him friendly. Jaejoong didn’t answer him but instead, he blinked slowly at him as if he didn’t know what Lee Teuk has said to him.

“Owh…I see. You didn’t talk are you? Sorry…so Yunho is your friend huh? Hmm…never see you once before. But, nice to meet you though!”  Lee Teuk grinned.

“Fuhh….I’m tired…can I have a rest now, hyung?” said a guy who was reaching the counter tiredly and held on the stool at Jaejoong’s left. The guy wearing the same color of apron that Yunho wore and brought the same notepad too.

“Not now, Ryeowook. There’s still plenty of customer in this area and you need to help Yunho and Eunhyuk with it. It will be rude for a worker like us to rest in front of customers, dear,” Lee Teuk blabber as he managed the payments for the customers who paid at the counter.

“You should help us too, hyung. We can’t do this alone. It’s too much for a 3 waiters like us,” Ryeowook whined.

“Aish! Stop whining! Who’s going to watch over the casher if I take those orders?” he exclaimed. He didn’t mean to act bad towards his brother but he doesn’t have a choice. Jaejoong just watched over their conversation and felt the urged to help them too. Then, Lee Teuk had an idea when he saw Jaejoong in front of him.

“Maybe you can help us, miss!” he grinned at Jaejoong who was flustered at the moment.

“What?”

“Yeah! Here, take this notepad and asks what the customers want. Now, please go!” Lee Teuk hurriedly took out the notepad and a pen and gave it to Jaejoong.

Jaejoong didn’t know how to react when he gets the small book and a transparent stick on his hand. Ryeowook on the other hand continued his job as he leaving him alone at the counter. Jaejoong looked around the place and he can’t help himself feeling uncomfortable with the hectic place.

“Excuse me, miss!”

Jaejoong didn’t know why people called him with the words but immediately turned to see a guy raised his hand and waved at him. Jaejoong stood up and headed to the table. There are four guys at the table and sit across to each other.

“Wow~ you’re pretty…,” praised the customer. His friends nodded at the statement as they looked at Jaejoong. Jaejoong didn’t know whether he should say thank you or what but he just gave them a small smile. All of them were dazzled for a moment at the look of his face before they start order their foods.

As Yunho was finished cleaning at the other side of tables, he was surprised at Jaejoong who was now standing at the customer’s table and act like a waiter. ‘Since when did he learn something unusual like that??’ Yunho thought as he walked towards the man.

“What are you doing?” Yunho asked curiously as Jaejoong was heading to the counter to inform Lee Teuk about the customer’s order. He knows that the guy is very unfamiliar with the place and rarely talk to anyone that he doesn’t know.

“Yunho…that person requested a side dish of number 4 in the menu,” Jaejoong told Yunho as he handed the small paper to him. Yunho cocked his eyebrow when he saw the note and looked Jaejoong again.

“Well, what are you guys waiting for? There are still plenty of customers waiting in the outside. Some of the tables are still needs to be clean! Hurry!” Lee Teuk took the note and handed it to the kitchen.

Yunho ran to some of the tables to clean it and miraculously, Jaejoong followed him and do the same too. Every second of the moment they spent their time in the restaurant can never get easier. More customers after the other leave the place. More tables needs to be clean and more orders needs to be filled with. Thankfully, they’re managed to get everything done perfectly and the restaurant started to get more less customers as the day becomes darker.

“Fuhh….what a day! My leg is killing me…I think we really need more waiters, hyung. If this continues, I don’t think I can make it any longer,” Ryeowook exhausted. All of them rested at the counter; sitting on the stool and head resting on the table, except Jaejoong of course.

“What are you saying, Ryeowook? 4 waiters are enough for this restaurant and that doesn’t include me instead,” Lee Teuk retorted.

“4? What do you mean by 4? Its only 3 of us….” Eunhyuk said while his eyes closed because of the tiredness.

“Well, this girl here helps us a lot today. If it wasn’t for her, I don’t think those customers would leave this restaurant with happy smiles on their face!” Lee Teuk grinned happily.

“Wow! She’s pretty! Who is she? A new waiter?” Ryeowook shot up from the table and stared at Jaejoong with blinking stars on his eyes. Eunhyuk on the other hand watched him with amazement.

“Yah! He’s not a girl! He’s 100% a GUY! And he’s not the new waiter…He only came here with me…” Yunho said and his head still rest on the table.

“Owh, really? I thought that you brought him here because he was your girlfriend, though,” Lee Teuk teased. Yunho glared at Lee Teuk and want to argue but he stopped immediately because of the lack of energy he have now.

He released a deep sighed as he was trying to take a nap for a while. Then, the other two started to have interest in acquainted with Jaejoong. The noises seem to frustrate him a lot so he decided to watch them with narrowed eyes while waiting for his shifts end.

“Hye! I’m Ryeowook! What’s your name?” Ryeowook greets Jaejoong friendly.
“Yo! What’s up? I’m Eunhyuk! The music lover of the Park family, bro,” he shook Jaejoong’s hand and do some little hand-greets thingy like a rapper.

“Huh? What’s up?” Jaejoong frowned at Eunhyuk’s language as he looked up and see what’s in there. He was confused at the false terms as the other started laugh at him. Yunho rolled his eyes at Jaejoong’s misunderstanding.

“It means ‘Hello’, Jaejoong…” Yunho corrected Eunhyuk’s words.

“Oh! So your name is Jaejoong? Well, nice to meet you Jaejoong! I’m Lee Teuk! The eldest of the Park family,” Lee Teuk shook Jaejoong’s hand happily. He always is the happiest and kindest guy to greet anyone.

“Umm…yes, nice to meet…you,” Jaejoong bowed at Lee Teuk and the other two.
“By the way, would you like to work here as a waiter? If you don’t mind, though,” Lee Teuk asked.

“Err…I don’t know. Perhaps, I will if my master allow me too,” Yunho was about to yawn but stops immediately when he heard those words coming from Jaejoong’s mouth. He stared at Jaejoong with wide eyes.

“What?? Master??” the three chorused and stared at Yunho in disbelief.
Yunho slapped himself and shook his head. He can’t believe that the guy just blurted it out like that. It was supposed to be a secret but it doesn’t seem like it now.

“No! Listen! You see, he was…a…a…”

*KRINGG**

The bell rang as the front door was pushed by a customer. All of them turned to the new visitor expecting anyone else but customer because the restaurant is already closed for today.

“Yoochun-hyung!” Ryeowook and Eunhyuk shrieked joyfully at the sight of the man as they waved at him. Yoochun walked to the counter and placed a grocery bag on the table as he faced his brothers with a warm smile.

“Hye, Ryeowook and Eunhyuk…” he waved them back and walked to the counter.

“It seems our dear prince is late for today, huh Yoochun?” Yunho said sarcastically while looking at his best friend.

Yoochun rolled his eyes as placed his groceries bags on the table and sat on the stool next to Yunho. He noticed Jaejoong presence and slightly bowed and smiled at him. Jaejoong does the same too but he looked at Yoochun with sharp eyes. Something about the guy attracts him and he also senses something the unusual from him too, which is he doesn’t know why.

“Alright, fine. I’m late and I’m sorry! I was planning to help you out today since we didn’t have any class but then I got some work to do, which is the reason it took me a little while longer than I’ve expected,” Yoochun explained.

“Hey, Yoochun! Good news! We just got a new friend here! His name is Jaejoong! Pretty, isn’t he??” Lee Teuk was excited by telling Yoochun about and can’t stop praised Jaejoong with ‘pretty’ words.

“Nice to meet you, Jaejoong. I’m Yoochun, Lee Teuk’s brother,” he extended his hand to shake Jaejoong’s.

As both of them shook hands, Lee Teuk added up,” By the way, Jaejoong claimed himself as Yunho’s servant though.”

Yoochun’s eyes widened when he heard that and Yunho totally cracked up at the statement.

“Wait! That’s not what you think! Actually, he’s…a…he’s…my bodyguard! Yes, that’s right! My bodyguard! You see I was been attacked by a stranger these days and I felt that my protection is totally at risk by now so I hired a bodyguard for my safety. Hahaha….,” Yunho laughed awkwardly as all of them stared at them with blank expressions.

At least it’s almost sounds like a truth.

“Well, if that’s the case then good luck for both of you two!” Lee Teuk grinned.

“Who would want to attack you, Yunho-hyung? You’re kind a hot sometimes but…Man, it must be…” before Ryeowook can finish his sentences; Eunhyuk cut him,” A rapist!! A total freak rapist! Hahaha!! Ouch…” he earned some smack on his head from his older brother making him groan in pain.

“A freak rapist?” Jaejoong tapped his finger on his chin and looked on the ceiling as he thinking about the word. Yunho only sighed at the guy for being too formality in conversations and actions.

Yoochun only stared at their actions while he’s checking on the thing that he put on his pocket few hours ago. Then, he remembered every seconds of the moment that have passed a while ago before he went to the restaurant. ‘It’s totally unbelievable,’ he thought and shook his head.

“Yoochun?”

Yoochun snapped out from his thought and faced at the owner’s voice. “What?”

“Is something wrong? You look pale. Are you sick?” Yunho watched his friend tensely.

“No, nothing. I think I feel a little bit tired, though,” Yoochun released a sigh.

“Well, then. I think we’re all done here. Everyone can go home now. I’ll see you later at home! And see you tomorrow, Yunho!” Lee Teuk clasped his hands and stood up as heading to the kitchen. Few seconds later, he came back and said, “And I’ll be seeing you tomorrow, my friend. Bye!” he waved at Jaejoong happily.

“Wow~ looks like Lee-Teuk hyung already like you, Jaejoong,” Eunhyuk said and Ryeowook only nodded.

Few minutes later…

The three of them; Yoochun, Yunho and Jaejoong walked along the sidewalk of the streets heading to their home. Yoochun’s house is only few miles away from Yunho’s so it’s easier for both of them to visit each other’s home. The two best friends’ chats happily while Jaejoong only followed Yunho from behind, watching them.

“Hey, Yunho…”

“What?”

“Is Jaejoong this kind of quiet person? I mean, he doesn’t talk a lot,” Yoochun pointed Jaejoong at his back with his thumb.

“Yeah, and FYI, he only talks if he have too. But he’s okay if you really got to know him pretty well,” Yunho glanced at his guardian from his shoulders and faced back to the front.

“He’s kind a cute, though. Too bad he’s a guy,” Yoochun whispered him.

“Yeah, you’re right. I wish he’s a girl somehow…” Yunho whispered him back and still remembered the nice dreams he had about Jaejoong turning into girl figure. He realized that the dream was too impossible to happen especially in reality. He released a deep sigh at the thought.

“Well, we’re here,” Yoochun stops at the front small gates of a house. Both Yunho and Jaejoong also stopped as they looked at the sight of a big house. The house looks big same as Yunho’s and all the houses but the color has made it slightly look better than other houses in the neighborhood.

“Okay, I’ll see you tomorrow. Good night!” Yunho waved at him as he watched Yoochun step into the house. Yoochun waved him back before he closed the door. And now, that left only both Yunho and Jaejoong alone in the place.

“Now, let’s go home,” Yunho turned to walked heading to his house but stops after a few steps from Yoochun house. He realized that Jaejoong didn’t reply him or follow him from behind. Yunho turned to see Jaejoong who still stood up in front of Yoochun’s gate watching the house carefully.

“Jaejoong, are you coming?”

Then, Jaejoong finally realized that his master calling him and immediately ran to him. “My apology, master,” he bowed at Yunho who was frowned at him.

“I told you not to use that word again. Just call me by my name, okay? By the way, what are you looking at?” Yunho looked at the same place where Jaejoong had eyed on. He found nothing there to see but only Yoochun’s room.

“Nothing, mas…I mean, Yunho. It’s just….something,” Jaejoong still felt something suspicious about the house but he can’t tell what.

“Hmm….fine, then. I guess you must be tired. Let’s go home and fix ourselves with some dinner, shall we?” Yunho giggled as he walked along the streets happily. He always is happy about foods when he was hungry.

While they were on their way to their house, Yoochun peeked through his windows from his bedroom watching them until they disappeared from the place. He felt relieved at the sight as he released a deep sigh. Then, he reached into his pocket and held a card.

“Looks like I’m having the same fate as you are…Yunho,” Yoochun murmured as he looked at the card carefully with weird symbols on it and saw a sentence on the back of the card.

Yes…you got it. A magical card indeed….

Now, Yoochun knew that Yunho shared the same luck as he was. He knew that he needs to cooperate with him in order to overcome the problems that he’d faced by now.

Well, he doesn’t have any options for now. He has to tell Yunho about it…as soon as possible…
